Our summer show season is here, kicking off with an exciting photography exhibit at Stellar Gallery, “Earth Smiles for Me” on display from June 11th through August 10th.
The show features intimate photographs of special places, flora and fauna by five photographers.
Works by Patricia Emerson Mitchell, and including works by Jon Bock, Franka Gabler, David Hoffman and Cathy McCrery-Cordle.
Opening July 2nd at The Art Center Gallery is “Honoring our Past”, an Art and Information Series by Mary Beth Harrison.
On display from July 2nd through 30th, Reception Saturday, July 9th – 5 to 8 pm. The show features 12 original paintings by Mary Beth Harrison. Each painting depicts a scene from local history taken from black and white photographs and brings them to colorful life!
All sales support local charities and community organizations.
Opening in August at Gallery 5 is a unique textile exhibit. “Textures” Art Quilts by Denise Oyama Miller and Nancy Ryan
On display from August 6th through September 18th – Artist’s Reception Saturday, August 6th – 5 to 8 pm
Unlike traditional quilts with established patterns handed down from generation to generation, art quilts push the boundaries of the traditional quilt world. Contemporary quilt artists incorporate a multitude of techniques into exciting textile creations inspired by the artist’s life experience and personal vision.
